The Ca-PILL is an calcium pill composed of calcium acetate for cows with a calcium deficiency.
The Ca-PILL is supplied in 4-piece packages.
After giving birth, cows have an increased risk of calcium deficiency as a result of increased milk production. The risk of a calcium level that is too low increases with age, especially after giving birth to a second calf. A calcium deficiency can cause milk fever; the cow displays a decrease in appetite and activity, which causes difficulty or inability to stand up. This can lead to damage to the muscles and organs and ultimately to premature death. Roughly 8% of cows with milk fever die from it.
