This artificial nest offers nesting space to the barn swallow and is made of wood concrete. This is a natural material where no chemical additives (or fumes) have been used.
Hang the artificial nest for the barn swallow in a stable, under a carport or bridge. The nest should be placed directly under the ceiling so that only a small space (at least 4 cm) is left between the ceiling and the edge of the nest. Preferably place several nests together because the barn swallow prefers to breed in colonies. A better chance of occupation offers a location with horses or with cattle nearby.
You can clean the nest bowl once a year at the end of the season (October). We advise you to also check the soundness of the suspension annually.
