The MS Calf jacket effectively supports the immune system of newly born calves. The jacket helps prevent issues such as diarrhea, stress, colds, growth delays, and other illnesses. Research shows that calves wearing a jacket for 42 days were, on average, 5 kg heavier and had better feed efficiency at 12 weeks of age compared to calves without a jacket.
Calf specialists recommend putting the calf jacket on the calf after birth, as soon as it is dry. To speed up the drying process, it is advised to place the calf in an individual pen with a thick layer of straw and a heat lamp. The MS Calf jacket can be used from birth up to 5 to 6 weeks.
