The Hartog compact alfalfa is a roughage for poultry farming that helps to prevent feather picking.
The Hartog Compact Alfalfa stimulates the natural pecking behaviour and provides them with a large amount of fibre-rich food so that the feathers are no longer absorbed as fibre substitutes. For the best result, the alfalfa is fed from the first phase into the rearing. The hens are less focused on each other, are less bored and a situation is created where it is possible to forage in a natural way. This allows the feeding of Hartog Compact Alfalfa to help prevent feather picking.
