Keto Vet Ketonen rapid test metre

Keto Vet ketone rapid test meter for the detection of subclinical ketosis in dairy cattle with immediate results.

The device, in combination with the test strips, measures the concentration of beta-hydroxybutyric acid (BHB) in the blood and displays this digitally in mmol/l.

• Control of dairy cattle after calving is the best method to prevent subclinical ketosis.
• Rapid tests can be carried out directly in the barn with immediate test results.
• Hidden ketosis early on during lactation is detrimental to cow health, fertility and milk production.
• High reliability.
• Clearly readable result.

• Always read the user manual before use
• 1 strip per test to be performed
• The measuring takes only 10 seconds.
• One drop of blood is enough
• Excluding battery (1x CR2032 coin cell battery needed)

Highly productive cows lose a lot of energy with milk production. If the increased demand for energy after calving is not compensated by the feed intake, there will be a shortage of energy. The cow will use its fat reserves; this fat burning will cause the formation of ketones.
