The Predator flies enables farmers to control flies without the use of chemicals.

Delivered in a paper tube of approximately 9000 pupae.

• The system is based on a special predator fly, known as Ophyra aennescens
• Because the flies are raised in a laboratory this system is guaranteed to be free from diseases and without risk
• In pigsties, the cardboard tubes with the pupae are hung in the compartments (the compartments should have slurry pits)
• In dairy barns, some sawdust is first spread in the slurry pit under the slats before a part of the pupae is spread on top of it
• The predator flies will leave the box and will settle in the liquid manure cellar, the predator fly is in fact slightly shy
• After some time the larva will come out of the egg in the manure
• When the larva is strong enough, she sucks the larvae of the housefly, room fly, and stable fly empty
• To built or maintain a healthy population of predator flies several treatments per year are necessary

• Larger departments require more boxes:
• In the first year 6 deliveries per department are required, according to a rigorous control program
• The second year and subsequent years will suffice 4 treatments per year
