It all started two years ago with the construction of a working prototype. “From there, we went back and forth to farms to test and improve it.” To suit as many users as possible, tests were carried out on various farms with differing genetics and breeding conformations. "Most of these tests were conducted with experienced hoof trimmers who previously worked with double belly band chutes.”
This version then went into engineering to create a second prototype.
The second prototype was unveiled in Germany at the EuroTier 2024 trade show. Joris Bos, who attended the event, gathered customers’ first impressions: “The reception was very positive. Professionals immediately recognized the chute’s qualities: smart design, robustness, easy to clean, ergonomic.”. Following Klaux.eu’s philosophy, Joris also listened carefully to suggestions for improvement. Back at the factory, the team made no fewer than 143 modifications. “There weren’t that many major changes, but sometimes one adjustment causes a chain reaction of ten more to get everything aligned perfectly."
After two years of relentless development, the first chutes have now been sold and delivered. The Chrome chute will soon be in use across five countries.

Easy entry
The interior of the cage is designed to let cows enter smoothly and without stress. It features smooth, uncluttered walls. The front door folds into the frame, preventing obstruction. The double belly band lies completely flat on the floor, so the inside remains fully accessible to the cow.:format(webp))
Easy to work
The legs are securely immobilized, and the area remains unobstructed for excellent visibility. Each support is length-adjustable, allowing for personalized positioning. The cow’s anatomy or a lesion’s location is no longer a limiting factor during treatment.:format(webp))
Safe space to trim
Every detail has been designed to maximize safety for both cows and trimmers: Sheathed hydraulic lines, rear restraint door with optimal opening direction, a chassis free of sharp or protruding elements, a front leg support bar that moves with the lightest touch, and an anti-pinch system on the front door.:format(webp))
Quiet performance
The high-quality hydraulic system makes the chute exceptionally quiet, improving the working environment and reducing stress for the animal. If the few remaining decibels are too much, the pump can be shut off at any workstation for total silence.Willem takes you on a tour of the equipment
