Clean hooves with a hoof mat for cows

Healthy hooves are important for cows. They help cows stay healthy and lead to higher milk production and better fertility. Hoof problems can cause cows to visit the milking robot less often. In the milking parlor, lame cows often walk at the back of the waiting area. In a standard footbath, these last cows get the dirtiest water. Because of this, the standard footbath doesn't work as well for the animals that need it the most.

Many farmers don't use a footbath at all because it takes a lot of time and effort. Also, most footbaths contain aggressive chemicals. These can dry out and damage the skin around the hoof. That's a pity because your cows deserve the best hoof care!

Hoof treatment mat for cows

A skin-friendly, automatic solution for healthy hooves. Cows walk easier over a mat than through a footbath. The MS AutoHoofClean is a smart disinfecting mat that helps care for hooves in a skin-friendly way. This hoof mat is extra effective because cows walk over it about 3 to 4 times a day. This way, the hooves are regularly treated and cared for. The hoof mat contains water and a special cleaning product, MS HoofClean, which is good for the hooves.

How does the hoof mat work?

The hoof treatment mat is placed at the exit of the milking robot or milking parlor. When cows go to the robot, they walk over the mat about 3 to 4 times a day. This way, their hooves are thoroughly cared for. The inner layer of the mat absorbs the liquid cleaning and skin-care product and releases it to the top of the mat when cows walk over it. The mat is designed so that each hoof is completely dipped in the liquid with every step. The mat is refilled automatically. The system works fully automatically, day and night, and is easy to use.
