Cage traps are an animal friendly solution of removing pests that are causing nuisance, e.g. rats, rabbits, foxes, martens and beech martens. Cage traps catch the animals alive, and you can then release them in the wild, at a good distance from your house or animal housing, naturally.
To make a cage trap effective you should use bait, and you have to put the trap in a location the pests frequent most often or where you have seen them a lot. Consider the location of their hole, walkways and feeding spots. Cage traps are available in a range of sizes. Check which size is best for catching the animal you are after.
