A carcass cover, sometimes known as a carcass hood, is a common sight in the countryside. They are purpose-built for offering carcasses for disposal. These covers are useful when you want to avoid carcasses lying in full view at the roadside. You can offer for collection all carcasses that fit under the cover and are big enough for a loading crane to pick up. If the carcasses are too small to pick up individually (or lighter than 25 kg), a carcass barrel is a good alternative.
When purchasing a carcass cover, it is important to pay attention to its size, materials, shape and construction. The bigger the cover the bigger the animal you can store under it. At MS Schippers, we advise buying covers made of polyethylene. Polyethylene is a strong material, can handle chemical substances and is very resistant to weather conditions. The shape is important because it must allow you to put the animal under it easily. Good construction will contribute to the carcass cover's durability, and the cover can have hoisting eyes or brackets that make loading or moving them easy.
