The plastic ankle straps are attached around the cow's hind legs with Velcro so that the cow can be recognised in the milking parlour or open barn. The ankle straps are used, for example, with pregnant animals or animals that have been treated with antibiotics.
The cow recognition straps with velcro are available in different colours.
Using coloured straps is a simple and reliable method of individually marking animals, allowing owners, staff, vets, consultants and inspectors to identify animals quickly and clearly. Due to the ever-growing number of animals, the ability to individually identify them is becoming increasingly important to promote ease of work and efficiency.
