The quarter paddle is used for testing for mastitis in cows in a simple and quick way. The more slimy the mixture the higher the cell count in the milk.
The testing paddle can be used in combination with the MS CMT milk test.
The CMT test combined with the quarter milker provides an indication of an increased cell count, not an exact value
