The MS Coolmax carcass cooling unit is a sturdy cooling unit for the responsible and hygienic storage of carcasses.

The MS carcass cooling comes with the housing and Coolmax cooling unit. The carcass cooling does not come with a tub.

The cooled storage of waste products, such as carcasses and animal residues, is a good step towards better farm hygiene. In combination with a Cooling unit, this housing is suitable for storing carcasses for a longer period of time in a responsible manner, before they get removed to be destroyed. • The cooling unit is placed on the cutout at the top of the cabinet. The cooling unit does not overlap the raised edge but is placed on top of it.
• The cabinet must have good, solid insulation of at least 4 cm. The thicker the insulation the better it works
• The door and hatches must have good sealing. If the carcass cooling unit is not hermetically sealed, there will be continuous exchange of air. On summer days, the air has a very high humidity content, which accelerates the decay process of the carcasses. Of course, this also leads to unnecessary energy consumption.
• Place a carcass cooler in a location that is easily accessible for both filling and emptying. Preferably place it on a flat concrete surface.
• Prevent cold or heat bridges, for example, by using iron profiles or metal profiles from the inside to the outside. Metal is a good heat conductor. If a thermal bridge forms, condensation will form outside the housing, which can lead to unnecessary energy consumption.
• The colour of the housing plays an important role in regard to the energy consumption for cooling. The green colour ensures good reflection of sunlight. Of course, it is always advisable to place the housing in a sheltered, shady spot.
