      High pressure cleaner

There are no products found for this category.

The capacity of a high-pressure cleaner will depend on the atmosphere, the number of litres per minute, and the pressure with which the water is pushed.

The water is brought to a higher pressure within the pump. The maximum pressure may range from 60 to 200 atmospheres. The water supply of the pump can vary up to 2400 litres per hour. There are many moving parts in a pump, which should be well lubricated.

The pump casing is thus partially filled with oil. The axis of the pump is electrically driven, and this pushes the pistons. These pistons push the water with a certain pressure in the pipe. A manometer is an instrument that shows the level of the water pressure. Make sure you stay below the specified maximum pressure to avoid damage to the pump and pipes.

Collection of current peaks with an on-off switch

A high-pressure cleaner must be able to deliver high pressure. This is only possible if there is a large motor in place. When switching on, the motor needs power for a brief moment; this is called a current peak. You can reduce the current surge with a so-called star/delta switch. The star/delta switch is a two-position switch, which ensures that the motor is started at 220 V and is diverted after a few seconds to 380 V. This prevents a power surge on the electricity grid, which allows fuses to blow at a lesser rate. Switching off of the motor can be done in one try.
